Swarm must be one of the most beautiful things of the earth, and for the bussiness, I find one of company using this idea for the cig ads,
here it is
After a long pitch phase which involved many different visual concepts, we came upon the idea to use the dynamic movement of the anchovy fish-swarm from the film “Finding Nemo” in this Lucky Strike cinema ad. We developed a special 3D software which could manipulate the masses of Luckys packs as a swarm. In this way, a hugely effective type-face animation reached the cinema.

This one not the very ‘Der Schwarm’ as I expected, I mean the swarm behavior as fish or birds, but the designer represent how other objects can be an swarm. (I’m writing as confuse myself, lol)
I don’t very like this one, but I think it still can learn a lots from this clip.
